Feature ideas are customer suggestions for improving SysAid products and experiences. They give you a simple way to share product feedback, support ideas submitted by other customers, and help SysAid understand which improvements matter most to our community.
Before submitting a new idea, the system will also show you similar existing ideas. If your idea already exists, voting for it helps keep related feedback together and makes customer interest easier to measure.
How it works
Feature ideas are managed through the SysAid Community.
To submit, browse, or vote for feature ideas, you first need to verify your SysAid account in the community. After verification, you can use feature ideas commands from any community channel.
You can use feature ideas to:
Submit a new feature idea.
Browse feature ideas submitted by other customers.
Vote for existing feature ideas.
Search for ideas by title, keyword, or feature idea number.
Sort ideas by most voted, newest, or oldest.
View the feature ideas you have already voted for.
Important:
Do not include passwords, credentials, account names, or other sensitive information when submitting forms or messages in the community.
Tips for writing a useful feature idea
A strong feature idea helps others quickly understand the problem and why it matters. When submitting a new idea, include:
A short, specific title.
The workflow or use case you are trying to improve.
The problem your team is experiencing today.
The value this change would provide.
Any relevant context that helps explain who would use the feature and when.
Creating and managing feature ideas
Verifying your account

Go to community.sysaid.com.
In any community channel, type /verify.

Enter your SysAid account name or asset name.
Tip!
You can find these details in your Account Information page.

Click Submit.
Browsing and voting for existing feature ideas
Use the browse command to view feature ideas submitted by other customers and vote for the ones you want to support.
In any community channel, type /feature_ideas browse.

Review the list of available feature ideas.

Select an idea to view more details, including its description, product area, number of accounts that voted, and feature idea ID.

Click the Vote for... button to add your vote.
If there are many ideas, use Next Page to continue browsing.
Searching and sorting feature ideas
When browsing feature ideas, you can use additional options to find the most relevant ideas faster.
Use search to find an idea by:
Title
Keyword
feature idea number

Use sort to organize the list by:
Most voted
Newest
Oldest

Tip!
Sorting by Most voted is a helpful way to see which ideas currently have the strongest community support.
Submitting a new feature idea
Submit a new feature idea when you have searched existing ideas and haven't found one that matches your suggestion.
In any community channel, type /feature_ideas submit_new.

In the Submit a Feature Idea form, enter a clear feature title. In the business use case field, explain the problem this idea would solve and how it would help your team.

Tip!
When you submit a new idea, the system checks whether similar feature ideas already exist. If a possible duplicate is found, you can choose to vote for the existing idea instead of creating a new one.

Voting for an existing idea is usually the best option when it already describes your need.
Click Submit.
After you submit your idea, we will review it internally to ensure further clarifications are not needed. Once approved, it will be added to the feature ideas list, where the community can review and vote on it.
Viewing the ideas you voted for
To see the feature ideas you have already supported, type:
/feature_ideas my_votes

The community app shows a list of feature ideas you voted for, including the idea title and voting status.
Once a feature idea is completed, you will be automatically notified in the Community with a Direct Message:
