Incident sub types
Incident sub types control which fields appear on the SR form in the Service Desk and on the Submit Incident form on the End-User Portal.

Change/Problem/Request sub types
Change, problem, and request sub types control which workflow tabs appear on a change, problem, or request and which fields appear on non-workflow tabs of a change, problem, or request.
