    Article summary

    There are two groupings of sub types that have slightly different functionalities: Incident sub types and Change/Problem/Request sub types.

    In SysAid Basic Edition, there are only Incident sub types

    Incident sub types
    Incident sub types control which fields appear on the SR form in the Service Desk and on the Submit Incident form on the Self-Service Portal.

    Change/Problem/Request sub types
    Change, problem, and request sub types control which workflow tabs appear on a change, problem, or request and which fields appear on non-workflow tabs of a change, problem, or request.

    Creating and modifying sub types

    Click image.png to create a new sub type. Click on the row of an existing sub type to edit it. For more information about creating and editing sub types, please go here.

    Note

    In SysAid Basic Edition, you may create up to five different incident sub types.

    List Actions

    There are a number of actions you can perform on your list using the actions list. To open the actions list, select one or more list entries using the checkboxes at the left end of each row. This opens the actions list:

    Delete Delete the selected sub types.

    Export Selected to PDF Click HelpDeskfiles3Dots47.png and select this option to export the selected sub types to .pdf. You can then easily print them.

    Export Selected to Excel Click HelpDeskfiles3Dots48.png and select this option to export the selected sub types to .csv. You can then print them, or use the data for further calculations.
