Customizing the "My Settings" Form in the Self-Service Portal

Prev Next

The End User Settings Form is what end users see when they select My Settings from their profile menu (or the My Settings tile on the Service Catalog) in the Self-Service Portal.

It lets them update their own contact details and personal preferences, such as:

  • Profile photo, first name, last name, and display name

  • Password

  • Email and secondary email

  • Phone number, text message number, and chat nickname

  • Language, time zone, date format, and first day of the calendar week

  • Whether to receive automatic SR email notifications

  • Custom theme

Which of these fields actually appear on the form, and how each one behaves, is controlled by an admin.

Access the form

To view or edit the End User Settings Form, go to Settings > Customization > Self-Service Portal > End User Settings Form.

Add, remove, or edit fields

Click the design form icon Design form icon in the top-right corner of the End User Settings Form page to open the Design Form page. From there, you can:

  • Add or remove which fields appear on the form

  • Set a default value for a field

  • Make a field view-only

  • Make a field required

See Customize Forms for detailed steps on using the Design Form page.
