In the various list pages that appear throughout SysAid, there are several icons that appear on the upper menu bar:
|Add a new item to the list. Examples of items you can add are catalog items and notifications.
|This opens the Expression Builder so that you can create a custom filter for the list. Only list items that match the filter will be shown. For example, you could create a filter for your catalog items list to show you only catalog items purchased from a particular supplier.
|Export to CSV
|This allows you to export the list to a .csv file, which can be viewed easily in Excel. After exporting to CSV, you can further manipulate the data to gain new insights.
|This icon allows you to customize your lists by adding and removing fields, creating and modifying filters, and more. Please read about customizing lists for further information. This icon is only available to administrators with the SysAid Administrator permission.
|Deletes the records selected in the list. There is generally a confirmation window that opens after clicking this to prevent you from deleting records by accident. This icon is only visible if you have purge permissions for the list you are viewing.
|Print selected records
|Select one or more records from the list using the checkboxes at the left end of each row. Then click here to export the selected records to .pdf for easy printing.
A View in SysAid controls which fields and filters you see on a list. Creating different views allows you to change which fields and filters appear. For example, you can create a view specifically for printing that contains only the fields you want in your printout. Each view has a name and is easily selected from the View drop-down menu located at the top of the page (to the right of the icons).
Some views, such as the EndUser view, come predefined with SysAid. The EndUser view, for example, controls the list end users see when viewing their service records from the End-User Portal. Predefined views are visible only to administrators with the SysAid Administrator privilege and cannot be deleted.
You may select a view by clicking the name of the view on the top menu bar. This opens a list of views available for the current list. Select the desired view, and click Apply.
Changing a list view
Note: Many lists in SysAid have been redesigned, and you may now change the view for these lists by selecting the desired view from the View drop-down list.
Creating a New View or Editing a Current View
To create or edit a new view, click on the customize list icon on the upper menu bar. The Customize List screen will open.
For lists in the new format, click the icon to open the Customize List screen.
