# New Manual Event

The SysAid Audit Log is automatically updated. However, you can manually add your own custom events when needed.

1. Click ![AuditLogfilesAddNewEventAddNewEvent.jpg](https://cdn.document360.io/52d3cb6c-cc81-43c2-b6f7-cbabcb449271/Images/Documentation/AuditLogfilesAddNewEventAddNewEvent.jpg)  
on the [Audit Log list](/v1/docs/event-logs) to open this page.
2. Choose a severity for the event, either **Info** or **Alert**. (The only significance this designation has is for your record keeping.)
3. In the text box, specify the details of the event.
4. Click **OK** to add the new event to the audit log.
