    Create Custom Field

    Step 1

    Go to Custom Fields

From the Sidebar’s Settings icon, go to Customization > Templates & Fields > Custom Columns.

This will open the Fields Customization list.

    Step 2

    Choose relevant Entity

Select the type of Entity you’re creating a Custom Field for.

This will open the Custom Columns List.

    Step 3

    Create a Custom Column (Field)

    Click the New button.

This will open the Fields Customization Form.

    Step 4

    Customize Column (Field)

    In the Fields Customization Form:

    1. Provide a Field Caption

    2. Select a Field Type

    3. Enter a DB Field Name

    4. Click Apply

    DB Field Name

This is the name of the new field you are creating as it appears in your database; it can contain lowercase letters only, and can’t be changed after the Custom Column is created

    Editing Custom Columns

Custom Columns can be edited after they’re created – by going to the Custom Columns List (shown in Step 3) and clicking the record of the desired Custom Column.
