# Connecting Perplexity to The SysAid AI Agent Builder

Integrating [Perplexity](https://www.perplexity.ai/) with the SysAid AI Agent Builder enhances your AI Agents with advanced AI-driven search and knowledge retrieval capabilities. By connecting Perplexity, your AI Agents can access real-time, contextual information to assist users, provide accurate responses, and improve decision-making within your ITSM environment.

In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of connecting the AI Agent Builder with your Perplexity account.

## Setting up the connection

You’ll need an API Key from Perplexity.

1. In your Perplexity account, go to **Settings**> **API**.
2. Scroll down to the **API Keys**.
3. Click **+Generate** and copy the newly generated key.
4. In your SysAid account, go to **Settings**>**AI Agents**>**AI Agent Builder**.
5. Search for **Perplexity AI API Connection** and select it.
6. Paste the API Key in the **Perplexity AI API Key** field.
7. Click **Test.**
8. Once you see the confirmation message, you can click**Publish**.

Your Perplexity account and SysAid AI Agent Builder are now connected 🎉.
